B.A Stanford University 1969
Ph.D. UC Berkeley 1981
After getting my B.A. I worked for two years in the social welfare
system in Santa Barbara, took a year off, then worked for three years
in the business office of a school district in the Bay Area. Spent
six years in grad school at Berkeley, married Jeffrey Koon, and came
to St. Paul, Minnesota (yes, it's cold here) to teach philosophy at
Hamline University. Jeff works as an educational consultant, but is
beginning to contemplate retirement. He and I have two children,
Wendy, 21, who lives and works across the river in Minneapolis, and
Justis, 17, who is busy applying to colleges. I've been chair of the
philosophy department at Hamline for ten years, and spend what free
time I have trying to stay in shape and writing novels (none
published--yet).
